WestCASA is committed to support the learning, growth and development of under or post graduate Social Work, Psychology or Counselling students. We are particularly interested in seeking students who demonstrate experience and a sound understanding of the issues relating to violence against women and who will soon be entering the workforce.
WestCASA provides a nurturing and supportive setting in which students can learn and further develop their knowledge in the areas of complex trauma, sexual assault and family violence from a feminist perspective. It also provides an opportunity for students to undertake projects relevant to the work of WestCASA.
Most student placements at WestCASA have a project focus. Direct service opportunities are limited and WestCASA preferences those students who have previous relevant work experience.
A decision about whether WestCASA will offer student placements in 2019 will be made late in 2018.
Unfortunately in 2017-18 WestCASA will be unable to provide any student placements.
Future enquiries about student placements can be made by calling the Senior Counsellor Ph: 9687 8637.
